Admissions

Delta Specialty Hospital is the preferred provider of inpatient and outpatient behavioral healthcare treatment in Memphis, TN.

Availability & First Steps

At Delta Specialty Hospital, we pride ourselves on the steadfast dedication we have to ensuring that everyone who seeks our care is met with the compassion, understanding, and helpfulness that will prevent the prospect of entering treatment from seeming intimidating, and instead instill a sense of hope and encouragement.

Here at Delta Specialty Hospital, we recognize that your moment of need can come at any hour of the day or night, which is why we are proud to be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are fully equipped to accept walk-ins, either by day through the Emergency Department or after hours through our Intake Assessment Department.

We also recognize that finding the best care available is not always an easy decision. For this reason, you may wish to call and speak to one of our qualified intake assessment counselors for detailed information prior to making a decision regarding whether or not you wish to engage in treatment at our center. If you feel more comfortable doing this, our team of counselors is here for you at all times, day or night.

What to Expect

When you reach out to us here at Delta Specialty Hospital, you will quickly find that the goal of our intake assessment counselors is to offer guidance and support. During your conversation, they will provide you with any and all information related to your needs and concerns, while also answering any questions you may have.

Upon receipt of the initial information you provide, as well as addressing any primary inquiries you may have, the intake assessment counselor will assist you in scheduling an appointment to come in for a more in-depth evaluation in order to determine which of Delta’s many programs will best meet your individual needs. If, after discussing your concerns with you, it is determined that Delta Specialty Hospital will not be able to provide you with the treatment you need in order to specifically meet your goals, we will work with you by providing you with referral sources. We will do everything in our power to make sure that you get the care you need.

The Admissions Process

The first step in the admissions process is for you to receive a free and confidential clinical assessment. During this assessment, pertinent information will be collected in order to make an informed recommendation regarding the most appropriate level of care that will best meet your needs. The answers that you provide during this assessment will then be privately discussed with one of our experienced physicians who specializes in your areas of need. Whether you are battling depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse, or another type of concern, or if you require specialized care such as that which is offered through our Senior Care services or similar program, our team of physicians, counselors, nurses, and support professionals can readily assist you in all of these areas, ensuring that from the first moment you enter treatment, you can rest assured that you will receive the best care available.

Throughout the admissions process, the intake assessment counselor will facilitate any and all interactions so as to ensure that you are able to connect with the correct level of care, either through one of our outpatient programs, or, if the need is emergent in nature, through one of our inpatient treatment centers. Appropriate recommendations will be made and, upon your approval, admissions into programming will begin.

Our Goal

At Delta Specialty Hospital, our focus lies in offering care and safety for everyone who walks through our doors. We also make it our mission to provide that care in the least restrictive setting and with the most efficient means possible. Our intake assessment counselors set the foundation for this goal by walking you through the admissions process step-by-step. Along the way, the counselor with whom you are working will assist you with your questions and concerns, will offer you the opportunity to speak with our financial business office, and will provide your family and loved ones with information during the time of your care so that your entire experience at our treatment center will be a positive, rewarding, and fulfilling experience.

If you are in need of comprehensive and supportive care in order to achieve a higher quality of life, we hope that you will consider reaching out to us here at Delta Specialty Hospital today. Or, if you have a loved one who is need of life-changing treatment, we would be grateful to be considered as the place for him or her to receive the care he or she needs. Whatever your or your loved one’s needs may be, we want to help you in any way that we can.

I was desperate to get help and Delta Specialty Hospital took me immediately. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and admissions team, they were all so kind and professional.
